Background

About

I'm a UX and product design leader based in St. Louis with more than 20 years of experience across consulting, enterprise, startup, and SaaS environments. My recent work centers on enterprise platforms, design systems, and research for products that support complex operational decisions, all shaped by a front-end development background that still influences how I collaborate with engineering teams today.

That foundation spans UX research, service design, interaction design, product strategy, and branding, including years running an interactive agency. I think of design as both a systems problem and a craft—reducing friction and making tangled business logic feel understandable, without losing the intuitive touches and small visual moments that make a product feel good to use.

Leadership has been a constant part of that work—building design teams and driving cross-functional initiatives that turn ambiguous problems into practical product direction, from AI-powered platforms and enterprise systems to shipping production designs powered by agentic design.

Outside of work, I live in a suburb of St. Louis. I spend my personal time coaching youth baseball, watching sports with my three sons and hanging out with my wife.
